Amanoiwato Shrine - Nisi Hongu
This shrine is the enshrinement location of Amanoiwato, the cave where Amaterasu Omikami hid herself.
Amanoyasukawaragu
Amanoyasukawara is a large cave with a width of 40 meters and a depth of 30 meters, where the Yaoyorozu no Kami assemble for discussion. Many believe that wishes are granted here. It is also called Gyobogaiwaya.
Amanoiwato Shrine - Higasi Hongu
This shrine is the place where Amaterasu Omikami first lived after leaving Amanoiwato.

The Amanoiwato Shrine Spring Festival will be held on May 2nd and 3rd.

May 2nd and 3rd is the spring festival.
The schedule is as follows.
May 2
9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Kagura dedication (Nisi Hongu Kagura Hall)
11 a.m. Annual Festival (Nisi Hongu)
1:30pm-4pm Kagura Dedication (Nisi Hongu Kaguraden)
 
May 3
9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Kagura dedication (Nisi Hongu Kagura Hall)
2 p.m. Goshinkosai (Mikoshi departs from Higasi Hongu at 2pm)
 
that's all.
The parking lot is expected to be crowded during Golden Week, so please be careful when you come.
Also, on the 3rd and 4th, a shuttle bus will run from the parking lot under Amanoiwato Onsen.In order to ease traffic congestion, please follow the instructions of the security guards when parking.
